SAHALE GLACIER CAMP I North Cascades Backpacking Trip
In July '23, my friend and I backpacked to the Sahale Glacier Camp in the North Cascades National Park (TY, permit lottery gods!). This Washington State backpacking trip is divided into three sections -- the 37 switchbacks of Cascade Pass, the beautiful meadows of Sahale Arm, and the strenuous boulder field. This overnight backpacking trip from Cascade Pass to Sahale Arm and the Glacier Camp requires a permit. We got checked for our permit on the way hiking out of the switchbacks by two friendly NPS rangers. Enjoy watching! xx

OREGON WINTER ROAD TRIP ❄️ I Skiing, Camping, and more
Просмотров 401Год назад
Hi guys! In late February, my dog and I headed south to Oregon for a week-long vacation. We skied, soaked in a hot spring, visited a museum, and enjoyed some R&R. This is a vlog-style video; sorry, the audio isn't great in a few sections! Had to keep my voice down in the campground, and my GoPro got a little waterlogged in the hot spring. STAYING IN A SEATTLE HOSTEL I The Green Tortoise
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.Год назад
Before the winter holiday, I took a bus from Leavenworth to Seattle, Washington, and stayed overnight in a hostel to catch an early flight the following day. The Green Tortoise Hostel was about $50 per night for a twin bed and was located next door to the historic Pike Place Market. The market closed at 5:00 pm before I arrived, so, unfortunately, my plan to buy fresh fish to cook in the hostel...

Yes :)
@shannonmay where do I get one. This'll be my first hike ever and don't wanna get escorted down the mountain or a fine
@@raddiontsibulko2670 Whichever agency protects said wilderness, so if this is in the national park you'd have to visit one of their backcountry permit offices; Usually located in or near their visitor centers.
More of the taco bus, no one wants to see the ghost town, the burrito was amazeballz
Hi, nice work. I will be staying there in February. Could you let me know how safe it is to walk to the train at 4 am in the morning? I have an early morning flight. Also, is it safe to walk at night 11pm ish?
Did it end up being safe?
Thanks for watching! Hope you made it to the train safely :) an Uber would be ideal for that time
How’s the drive up? Do you need 4 wheel drive? Switchbacks on side hills?

Thank you! :) enjoy your time in big sky!
I am staying at the Green tortoise in August. It’ll be my first time ever in a hostel. Do you have any tips?
Amazing! It’s a great location :) - Bring a towel and a lock for your items if you want to save a few dollars and not rent from them. - Don’t be afraid to say hi to people or sit down at a table with them to make new friends :) - Write your name on your food if you store it overnight in the fridge / freezer - Bring your own reusable water bottle and shower shoes like sandals Hope this helps! Enjoy your stay in Seattle!
FABULOUS!!
Thanks Michelle! :)
Hi! Do you mind sharing if there’s lights inside? And are there any extra plug ins or just what the heater is plugged into? Have an upcoming reservation there and wanted to confirm. Thanks!
Hi there! When we visited in late November, there were solar-powered rope lights on the ceiling (they lasted about three hours for us) and a separate Luci Lamp. There were a few USB plug-ins behind the refrigerator, but we found it more helpful to bring our own charged battery packs, headlamps, and another solar-powered light/lantern since it gets dark early during the winter. Hope that's helpful! Have fun :)
Nature there in the winter time looks so beautiful thank you for the videos
Of course! :)

Yes! You'd love it :) Summer was really hot though 🥵 the temp reached 106 degrees a few days!
I did Colchuck 4 years ago and it started dumping snow on us when we were almost to the lake. By time we got back to the car it had dumped about 4 inches!!!
Dang! That was a tough hike! Bet the snow made it that much harder coming down ❄️❄️❄️
@@shannonmay Yep! It was much, much harder coming down. Then driving down that road wasn't fun either. We stayed at a B n B in Cashmere, btw. ☺
